WHAT TO EXPECT ON A WORKOUT WITH GRACE:
BEACH WORKOUTS
Practice fun-filled, and effective outdoor training for increasing your strength, flexibility, and endurance. Each person will work at their own pace, level, and rhythm. Wherever you are on the vitality continuum, we will start there. Some who have taken a break from exercise will need to begin more slowly. Perhaps we walk the beach and do some gentle ocean aerobics. Maybe some beginning, upper body
strength building working on the rocks by the ocean side. Let's visit the inimitable workout tree and hang, pull, and push our arms into shape.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
People with more vitality and enthusiasm for getting in shape may start by enjoying a brisk power walk on the beach, or going biking. If you want to do more, we can add in a swim around the bay, or go off early to meet the dolphins. If you're too busy in the morning for a workout, let's meet for a sunset walk on the cliffs of Wailea
or the Kiawekapu Beach. Whatever you need to move forward, we will go at your pace. This program will be designed to meet YOUR personal needs.
OCEAN AEROBICS
This is such a fabulously fun way to get into shape, get tan, and be in the marvelous ocean of Maui. It's really delightful to follow these easy, invigorating movements in the water. Jump around, shake and shimmy, twist and kick, pump your lymphatic system, run with resistance and no impact, get your upper body stronger by pushing and pulling, work those abs doing sit ups on your back, lay on the water and do bicycle pedaling….the options are endless. This water held, floatation exercise routine allows you to do an entire extra segment during
your workout, because the effort is so drastically reduced by having the ocean hold you up.
YOGA
Private yoga training is available at the Center for Radiant Aliveness or in your home or hotel room. Grace has been trained in many forms of yoga, including Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Kripalu Flow. Her skillful guidance will give you only the postures you can do NOW, and slowly stretch you into your next level.
