Often, as time goes by, we wane on our level of enthusiasm to eat or exercise according to what we know serves us best. The honeymoon period ends, the old habits seep back into our daily life, we lose the edge of progress we had been making, and we almost forget how good we felt when we were more in the apex of our high intentions.

It’s always more beneficial to keep the inspiration high before it leaks away into old habits. LOVE YOUR BODY – WHEN TIMES ARE CHALLENGING!
This exciting, newly energized, "time for change" moment in history, is a time for all of us to throw off the old, stuck, no-longer working "administrations" within our own body and body of affairs. Our new President models an upgrade of dignity, honorable actions, and mature responses to his nation’s challenges and pain.
As in the case of our beloved Knight in Shining Armor, Obama, we too need to dump, replace, and cease and desist some old personal policies to help embody the change that will support this man in turning things around.
We can LOVE OUR BODIES better at times when we feel down, by recognizing two important realities.

Short term pleasure is never a substitute for long term benefit. Although we might get some temporary relief from a cookie or food treat, glass of wine, cappuccino, or acceptable pharmaceuticals, these strategies rarely have any lasting or ultimately useful value.
- Eating, drinking, smoking, indulging, and the use of stimulating beverages harm our body’s vital force. Although unintended, these are abusive ways to handle our fears and anxiety about our life situations. Intended to pacify, these mainstream, conventional measures to alleviate our discomfort result in long-term degeneration of our life force, problematic body symptoms, and a sense of powerlessness to relieve our distress in a constructive and healing way.
We can be our own new leader of change. We can face our current challenges in life better by strengthening our bodies. What an asset for our latest projects to be backed by a body that offers full vitality, lean body mass, adequately exercised and oxygenated cells, and well rested organs.
We love our bodies when we nourish them with REAL food that feeds our brains and blood in a way that helps us carry out our dreams. This is inhibited when your body is being filled with processed, over-cooked, fried, salted, sugary, stimulating, sedating substances. Now is the time to cleanse from the old, and weed out the old habits of avoidance, self medication, and disempowering patterns. Take a leap, let go of what is no longer serving you. Know that you can!
A better choice for dealing with our challenges is to simply BE with your "feeling" experience with full presence. This takes courage and willingness to be uncomfortable short term. In the end, nothing ever feels as good as your own good actions. We can have the joy of living in freely functioning bodies that reflect mature choices, and responsible care. We can notice in advance when we are contemplating loading them with damaging goods, and choose a higher, more loving option.

SAMPLE ARTICLE #2
THE GIFT OF HEALTH CONSCIOUSNESS
Many people struggle with their eating and food choices and suffer from the consequences. In many cases, pain producing choices are made when using food for some reason other than nutrition, even though we “know better”. The resulting physiological reactions invite us to honestly investigate our use of food. These invitations might be one of the following: weight gain, respiratory tract issues, skin eruptions, low energy, digestive tract dysfunctioning, mood swings, structural weakening, and premature aging.
HEALTH CONSCIOUSNESS utilizes attitudes to shift behaviors such as frequent over-eating, eating to relax and unwind, overstimulation from caffeinated beverages, too much high-stress living causing late night eating, cane sugar and “high fruit sugar, healthy snacks”, poisoning effects from alcohol and nicotine, and lack of exercise, to name a few.
A shift in consciousness is far more powerful than a diet. It’s not what you eat as much as how and when you eat it. It’s about knowing how to respond to the messages of your body, and a willingness to do what’s required.
Below I describe some powerful consciousness attitudes and thought templates that will immediately shift the direction of your Health. There is no “right path” to Radiant Aliveness, only your path, and this must be identified through radically honest investigation, then practiced earnestly… until you literally fall in love with how you feel when doing so. This is what produces Health…Loving your path for the invaluable consistency and stability it produces.
What would it be like if YOU lived according to these attitudes.
Be aggressively proactive. Go after your authentic vision for your Health and body. What needs to be let go of? Who would you need to become?
Reduce to the bare minimum your "using”" of food. Practice eating only when hungry and to provide true nourishment.
Ally yourself with healthy people and models you respect and admire. Emulate their ways, practices, and energetics.
Recognize your signs and make the adjustment indicated through the wisdom of your body’s messages.
Pay attention to destructive patterns approaching. Make wise choices.
Eat what you want with great discernment. Eat appropriately in support of your current bodily needs.
Simply be with pain or fear. Don't eat over them. Affirm: "I can be with this feeling".
Your body's experience is here to direct you how to find the causative harmful action and make the proper adjustments.
Recognize the force of purification. Whatever has caused the toxicity of your body must be identified. Stay with your cleansing until you have removed the harm and its effects have ceased.
Be with your emotional experience instead of soothing yourself with food.
Practice the art of self-relaxation. Long-term habits of eating to relax are often the cause of many unwanted symptoms.
Take stock and do inventory on your boundaries. How much of your substance or behavior does it take to cause an adverse reaction? Stay inbounds.
Keep harm to a minimum. Perfection is not as important as frequency of better choices. Be aware of how much stress you wish to subject your body to.

SAMPLE TIPS #1
BEST TIPS FOR EATING
This is my summary of the most important "best tips" for eating.
Eat only when you are hungry.
Eat small portions.
Avoid starch and processed food and fill....rather.....with water content foods....fruit and vegies. Eat smaller portions of protein.
Avoid eating late at night or protein after 7pm. Eat salad, soup and
fruit and tea in the evening. Honor the body's cycles and allow the body to end its intake time early so that it can begin its assimilation time properly.
Avoid overcooked protein.
Remember to eat and drink ....don't put it off and then overeat later.
When emotional, choose fruit and salad .....not starch and sugar.
AND THEN: remember to fill your hearts and souls with
inspiration.......educational tapes and books.....spiritual master
teachers....those who lift your vision and intentions.
Deliberately create your day each morning....how you will think, act and
be. Remember to be a light to the world with your consciousness and to
give more than you take. Give your light and all will be given unto you.
That's enough to practice for the next bit of your life. Have
fun....regret no side swerves....everything is a lesson on how to do better
next time. Ponder how you would do that.
Above all, just keep holding yourself in a practice mode. You are a health practitioner. Enjoy the practice.
SAMPLE TIPS #2

Wanting to make sure that you know how essential it is to be prepared ALL THE TIME with as many different vegetable dishes you can pull together…as you will be getting hungry much more often as you eat less heavy. Good things to have with you at all times: a salad with dressing in a small container; bag of baby carrots; a can of coconut juice without pulp for now; a container with steamed vegies in it; a protein shake already made and put into a cold food bag, THIS IS ALWAYS A GOOD THING TO HAVE WITH YOU; some sliced turkey or can of fish for non-vegetarians; some raw and unsalted seeds; an apple; an orange; a container of chunks of watermelon; small container of pineapple or cut papaya; a jar with 12 oz’s of tomato or V-8 or vegie juice…also a good thing to pick up in a health food store.
- If you’re out in the world and without food: go to any supermarket and get a nice salad from their salad bar; some health food stores do have food lines with pure steamed vegies with only oil on them….try to pick an option with just vegies and not all the other things they often put on them. Stop in a Jamba Juice and get a carrot juice with wheatgrass shot…this will pull you out of almost anything.
- Start meditating or contemplating each morning….open yourself and your awareness up to higher vibrations to infuse you with strength, inspiration, and enthusiasm for your vision. Speak out loud to your altar or companion, or straight into the ethers so that you can hear your word.
- If at any time you feel that you NEED something to carry on…then just make the best choice you can make to satisfy whatever needs something….then return to the program….don’t get lost in outer space……just come home to the program and continue. Be kind to yourself and refrain from judging or criticizing. You are on a rugged path of reform and transformation…..allow that to have its way. Eat some of God’s food if possible….and if not….make the least amount of damage choice you can.

SAMPLE THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
BREAKTHROUGH YOUR HEALTH PLATEAU

Ask the question, "What is Alive in me now? What am I feeling and needing?" Honor yourself by telling the truth about YOU…not an other.

Step into the Seer as soon as possible. Recognize any pain, suffering, resistance, agony, fear, dread, worry, disappointment, hurt, blame, etc. Move into watching the whole of it. Create some distance between "she who is feeling" and she who is watching. Authentically observe in equanimity and with compassion for the human-ness.

Keep your focus on what you want. Move away from what you don’t want. Focus upon how you want to feel and be dedicated to reaching for good feeling thoughts that bring compassion and hopefulness to your current situation.

Ask powerful questions such as: What is the purpose of this experience in my life?; What is this here to show me?; How can I meet this experience in a way that uplifts me and inspires me to my next expansion?; What could I do right now to feel better?

Substitute healthy, wholesome Foods for harmful ones whenever you can; steamed apples for ice-cream. Seeds for chips. Protein for starch. Alive food for processed food. Bubbling water for alcohol. Tastes of food rather than plates of food. Rice cakes instead of cookies. Salad instead of popcorn.

Go on a cleanse and purify your system, clarity, mind and personal esteem.

Make certain agreements regarding treats if you know you are engaging often and are probably not ready to quit right now. I.e. frequency, edges or boundaries of what’s too much of a particular item, cleansing, quantity.

Wait for hunger even if it's a treat. At least do that.

When you feel like you can't wait til hunger, then just feel what it feels like to not be willing to wait.

Be 100% present for distraction choices – make the best one you can. If you are going to distract, be very conscious. Movies, shopping, eating, socializing.

Pray and ask for help. Vision the shift you wish to make.

Seek for the cause of the breakdown, darkness or pain. Seek deeply and feel deeply. What is it that wants to evolve in your consciousness. What has not been working. Where are you not honoring your feelings and needs that has created such a manifestation.

Keep things in balance. Do whatever you need to do to keep things equal in your behaviors and actions. Be honest and equilibrate regularly. Kindness – irritability; eating – cleansing; outward – inward; praying – sharing story
